Ace Suites

terr1.jpg  terr2.jpgI was recently commisioned to design, construct and install something “green” and “fabulous” for the 14 suites at The Ace. I decided on succulent bowls filled with drought tolerant plants and unusual succulents. I lined all of the glass vessels with moss for an extra hit of color and also inserted peacock feathers, dried kiwi vine, shells, tumbled stones and bulls head seed pods for texture and interesting visuals. Each suite has a vignette of 3 and the green of the pieces really stands out against the rough wood, wool “ace” blankets and muraled walls. If you haven’t yet been to The Ace Hotel you should check it out. Steven and I recently spent a night in one of the suites and had dinner at Clyde Common, both were amazing! Enjoy!
