A Little Seasonal Sass

mantel-vignette.jpgcustom-dining-room-piece.jpgOut with the old and in with the new! This is the mantra for these great N.E. clients I have. I see them at the beginning of every season for what my client calls ” A little seasonal sass ” For this spring mantel vignette I chose a pink fasciata bromeliad in a square glass cube, kiwi vines, and floating water hyacinth. I love the contrast of the copper vessel with the donkey tail succulents and the sculptural quality of the kiwi vines for this custom dining room piece. Since these are sesonal vignettes all of the plants, vines and mosses are chosen for there longevity, at least 2 1/2 to 3 months.
This orchid arrangement looks perfect on the limestone bathroom counter and flows perfectly with the colors of the nude in the background. This bathroom was designed by one of Portlands hottest architects and is so spa’d out that a floor to ceiling limestone steam bath takes up once was once an unused closet…..this is going to be a very happy, and humid, bathroom orchid arrangement orchid!
