Crazy Euphorbias

I was in the garden this weekend and came across this mutant euphorbia. Instead of having it’s usual sweet little stem I found over five plants with stems that were over an inch thick. I’ve used euphorbias in many plantings over the years and have never seen anything like this. I’ve been making wedding centerpiece mock-ups for a few brides to be and used the red martin euphorbia with tulips and dogwood. Although the arrangements were stunning, euphorbia smells a little like tar and probably isn’t the best choice for a wedding bouquet. In my garden I have dwarf magnolia trees at my entry with beds of euphorbia surrounding them. The plantings are not only evergreen but architecturally stunning as well!
